9.  . . . DON’T CRAM FOR EXAMS. SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS KNOW THAT DIVIDED PERIODS OF STUDY ARE MORE EFFECTIVE THAN CRAM SESSIONS, AND THEY PRACTICE IT.

IF THERE IS ONE THING THAT STUDY SKILLS SPECIALISTS AGREE ON, IT IS THAT DISTRIBUTED STUDY IS BETTER THAN MASSED, LATE-NIGHT, LAST DITCH EFFORTS KNOWN AS CRAMMING. YOU’LL LEARN MORE, REMEMBER MORE, AND EARN A HIGHER GRADE BY STUDYING IN FOUR, ONE HOUR –A –NIGHT SESSIONS FOR FRIDAY’S EXAM THAN STUDYING FOR FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT ON THURSDAY NIGHT. SHORT ,CONCENTRATED PREPARAOTRORY EFFORTS ARE MORE EFFICIENT AND REWARDING THAN WASTEFUL ,INATTENTIVE,LAST MOMENT MARATHONS .,YET SO MANY STUDENTS FAIL TO LEARN THIS LESSON AND END UP REPEATING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL IT BECOMES A WASTEFUL HABIT. NOT TO CLEVER HUH?
WHEN YOU CRAM ,YOUR TAKING THE SHORTCUT ,AND SHORTCUTS NEVER PRODUCE ANY REAL WORTHWILE RESULTS ALSO WHEN YOU TAKE SHORTCUTS YOU FEEL RATHER ROTTEN KNOWING THAY YOU COULD HAVE DONE BETTER BUT DIDN’T.SHORTCUTS CUT YOU SHORT .YOU CANT PLANTWATERMELON SEEDS AND HARVEST FRSH WATERMELON THE NEXT DAY .IT TAKES TIME .CRAMMING FOR AT TEST OR PROJECT AND EXPECTING TO MAKE A HIGH SCORE THE NEXT DAY IS LIKE WATERMELON SEED AND EXPECTING TO HARVEST AND EAT FRESH WATERMELON THE NEXT DAY.
PLUS CRAMMING FOR AT TEST OR PROJECT DOESN’T HELP YOU ACADEMIACALLY SO EHY EVEN DO IT. PLAN AHEAD PREPARE AHEAD GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF DAYS AND WEEKS TO PREPARE

“What’s right isn’t always popular. What’s popular isn’t always right”
Well a lot of people choose the popular things and ways than what’s really right. Also some popular things are the right things to say and to wear. Well in my opinion if you are in a school there some things that you can’t wear because, the shirt your wearing has foul language on it or something else on it. When you are in church, for men you cannot wear any types of caps, hats and beanie inside of the church. Well that’s my opinion about what’s right and what’s popular…

7 … understand that action affect learning successful students know their personal between affect their feelings and emotions which in turn can affect learning .

If you act in a certain way that normally produces particular feelings, you begin to experience those feelings. Act like you’re bored, and you’ll become bored. Act like you’re disinterested, and you’ll become disinterested. So the next time you have trouble concentrating in the classroom, :Act like an interested person” lean forward, place your feet flat on the floor, maintain eye contact with the professor, nob occasionally, take notes, and ask questions. Not only will you benefits directly from your actions, your classmates and professor may also gey more excited and enthusiastic.

8. Talk about what they’re learning. Successful students get to know something well enough that they can put into words. Talking about something with friends, or classmates, is not only the good for checking weather or not you know something it’s a proven learning tool. Transferring idea into words provides the most direct path for moving knowledge form short-team to long-team memory. You really don’t “know” material until you can put it into words. So next time you study, don’t do it silently. Talk about notes, problems, readings, ETC. With friends, recite to a chair, organize study group pretend you’re teaching your peers. “Talk-learning” produces a whole host of memory traces the result in more learning..

5. Don’t sit in the back of the room. Successful students minimize classroom distractions that interfere with learning.
Students want the best seat with learning available for their enterainment dollars. Students who sit in the back cannot possibly be their professor’s teammate (see no 4.). why do they expose themselves to the temptaions of inaction classrooms experiences and distractions of all people between them and their instructor? Of course, we know they chose the back of the classroom because they seek invisibly or anonymity, both of which are antithetical to efficient and effective learning. If you are trying not to be a part of the class, why the, are you wasting your time? Push your hot buttons, is there something else you should be doing with your time?
6 … Take good notes. Successful students take notes that are understandable and organized, and review them often.
Why put something into your notes don’t understand? Ask the questions now that are necessary to make your notes meaningful at some later time. A short review to your notes while the material is still fresh on your mind helps you learn more . The more you learn then. The less you’ll have to learn
High School Graduation Pleasure OR Pain

High school graduation is the most exciting event of your educational years. You officially graduate from high school and are exposed to a new independent life. There are many pleasures about graduating. If you graduate you get your diploma and you can go to college. You also get to graduate with your class and all your work is paid off. It is very rewarding when you graduate and you feel accomplished. On the other hand not graduating can cause lots of pains. It is painful when you get to see your friends graduating from the stands and you’re just sitting down. You also can be accepted in no college with your high school diploma. Another pain is that you let your class down, your family, and most important, you! Graduating has many pleasures to it; choose the right and Graduate from high school to start a new life.

"The time is always right to do what is right"

This quote was written by Martin Luther King, Jr. What he meant to say is that when time is is always right, you do the right thing. Like when you get home from school and you have homework you do it when you come home. Also when you have to tell the truth you say i the right time. That's doing the right time and thing to do. That's what i think abut this quote. :)

3. … ask question. Successful students ask questions to provide the quickest route between ignorance and knowledge you seek, asking questions has at least two other extremely important benefits. The process helps you pay attention to your professor and helps you professor pay attention to you! Think about it. If you want something go after it. Get the answer now, or fail a question later. There are no foolish questions, only foolish silences, it’s your choice.
4 …learn that a student and a professor make a team. Most instructors want exactly what you want: they would like for you to learn the material in their respective classes and earn a good grade.
Successful students reflect well on the efforts of any teacher; if you have learned you material, the instructor takes some justifiable pride in teaching. John forces with your instructor, they are not an enemy, you share the same interests, the same goals – in short, your most valuable player on the same team. Your jobs are to work together for mutual success. Neither wishes to chalk up a losing season. Be a team player!

Successful Students
1-2
Successful students exhibit a combination of successful attitudes and behaviors as well as intellectual capacity. Successful students . . .
1.         . . . Are responsible and active. Successful students get involved in their studies, accept responsibility for their own education, and are active participants in it. Responsibility means control. It’s the difference between leading and being led. Your own efforts control your grade, you earn the glory or deserve the blame, and you make the choice. Active classroom participation improves grades without increasing study time. You can sit there, act bored, daydream, or sleep. Or, you can actively listen, think. Question, and take notes like someone in charge of their learning experience. Either option costs one class period. However, the former method will require a large degree of additional work outside of class to achieve the same degree of learning the latter provides at one sitting. The choice is yours.
2.         . . . Have educational goals. Successful students have legitimate goals and are motivated by what they represent in terms of career aspirations and a life’s desires.
Ask yourself these questions: What am I doing here? Why have I chosen to be sitting here now? Is there some better place I could be? What does my presence here mean to me? Answers to these questions represent your “Hot Buttons” and are, without a doubt, the most important factors in your success as a college student. If your educational goals are truly yours, not someone else’s, they will motivate a vital and positive academic attitude. If you are familiar with what these hot buttons represent and refer to them often, especially when you tired of being a student, nothing can stop you; if you aren’t and don’t, everything can and will.

Study for Multiple Exams
Part 3
English, math, foreign language tips: PRACITCE—especially foreign language. It is hard to succeed in a foreign language class if you are just showing and doing all the work. But if you are in your room and look at objects and try to say them in the language you are learning it actually helps. Or if you send a simple test to a friend think about it, can you translate that to German or Spanish? These are the little things that will help.
Here are my final words of wisdom for students who want to get better grades in college: Time management and organization are critical key factors to success in college. And never be afraid to go ask your teacher for help. They have office hours for a reason-use them

“Seek to do good and you will find that happiness will run after you”
James Freeman Clarke

This quote is true and I agree with it. I agree with it because if you do good things in your life, you will find and get happiness. Also if you listen to your parents or your teachers at school you will get happiness in your life. For example you get good grade and do good in school, you will feel happiness without knowing it. That’s what I think about this happy quote. :D

“American Idol’s” Gentle Giant Jermaine Jones Disqualified for Criminal Past

I think if American Idol knew about his criminal he never shouldn’t been in American Idol.

Sarah’s Academic Success Story
Time management became a key factor in my study skills for college. In high school, there were times I was able to study for an hour or two the night before a test and get away with it. This was not the case in college. I made sure in college I was prepared for each class. Sometimes that meant writing out the terms for the chapter we read (even if when it isn’t required) to better understand them. That way when the midterm or test comes around I was able to understand what I was studying. I started excellent notes in class in college.
MY OVERALL STUDY METHOD STRUCTURED ONE THING I LEARNED WAS I HAD TO ADAPT OR CHANGE MY STUDY METHOD ACCORDING TO THE CLASS.I COULDN’T STUDY FOR RELIGION CLASS THE SAME WAY I STUDIED FOR A FINANCE CLASS EVEN IF IT MEANT CARRYING A PLANNER WITH ME AT ALL TIMES WAS A BIG PART OF MY SUCCESS.

Work Together
                               Part 3
Here are my final words of wisdom for students who want to get better grades in college: A big thing that not many will say is to ask for help if you needed it. It’s not a bad thing to not understand, it’s a bad thing if you don’t do anything about it. Plan your time out so you are completing everything that needs to get done and leave time to double check. Write things down and have good time management skills. Asking for help is probably the biggest thing I can say though. If you don’t understand, go to office hours or find a classmate that does and understand is willing to help you. If you try hard, it will come to you. I find myself thinking that I would have to try harder to fail than I try to succeed. It is something that is within me to succeed. If that is not who you are, then hopefully things that I have done can show you that you that success is something that is amazing to find! Good Luck!
